Service·Vue 3·Composition API·Product builds, start to production

Vue.js development for products that have to keep shipping

We design and build Vue 3 applications for SaaS and product teams: the component architecture, the state layer, the design system and, when you need it, the Node or NestJS API behind it. You get working software in production early, then a steady release rhythm from senior engineers who plan to maintain what they build.

Where Vue products usually get stuck

An MVP that won't stretch

The first version shipped fast, but every new feature now touches five components and two stores. The structure fit the demo, not the product.

Components nobody reuses

Three date pickers, four button styles and props passed down six levels. Without a shared component library, every screen gets built from scratch.

State spread everywhere

Some data lives in Pinia, some in component refs, some in the URL, and none of it agrees after a save. Users see stale numbers and bugs are hard to reproduce.

Complex UI that feels heavy

Drag and drop, editors, canvases and big tables are where Vue apps slow down. They need reactivity designed for them from the start, not patched in later.

A frontend waiting on the API

The Vue team is blocked on endpoints, or the API returns shapes the UI has to rework. When one team owns both ends, that hand-off goes away.

Nobody owns the architecture

Freelancers came and went, each with their own patterns. Now nobody can explain why the code is shaped the way it is, or what is safe to change.

What we ask before we write code

  1. Who uses the product, and which flows make you money
  2. What exists today: designs, an API, auth, a codebase or nothing
  3. Where the hard parts are: real-time data, editors, payments, integrations
  4. Which state belongs in Pinia, which in the URL, which on the server
  5. Whether a shared component library pays off at your size
  6. How you deploy and release, and who reviews our pull requests

From first call to handover

01

Discovery

We go through your goals, designs and any existing code with you. Then we write down what the first release must include and what can wait.

You get
  • A scoped first release
  • Risks and open questions, listed
  • An effort range in engineer-months
02

Architecture

We set the foundations that are expensive to change later: folder structure, component layers, Pinia stores, routing, the API client and how errors reach the user.

You get
  • Decision records for the big choices
  • A map of components and stores
  • Coding standards your team can follow
03

First release

We build the smallest version real users can try, through your normal review and deploy flow. Shipping early shows which assumptions were wrong while they're still cheap to fix.

You get
  • Working software in production
  • Pull requests in your repository
  • Early feedback from real users
04

Steady releases

After launch we ship in small, tagged releases. Each one is small enough to review in one sitting and to roll back if it misbehaves.

You get
  • A predictable release rhythm
  • Async daily updates
  • A weekly progress review
05

Handover or long-term care

When your team is ready to own the code, we walk them through it. If you'd rather we keep going, we stay on as your Vue team.

You get
  • An architecture walkthrough
  • Documented decisions
  • A clean exit or a long-term plan

What you have at the end

Production Vue 3 app

Running in your hosting and your repository, built with the Composition API, Pinia and Vite.

Component library

Shared, documented components for forms, tables, dialogs and layouts, so new screens reuse parts instead of rebuilding them.

State and data layer

Pinia stores and an API client with one clear owner for each piece of data, including loading and error states.

API and integrations

Node.js or NestJS endpoints, auth, payments and third-party integrations, when the product needs them.

Release pipeline

Tagged releases through your CI and hosting, each one small enough to roll back on its own.

Decision records

Short notes on why we picked each library and pattern, so the next engineer doesn't have to guess.

Pick the model that fits the work

Monthly billing at a flat rate. No onboarding fees, no minimum commitment, and you can pause or cancel anytime. Our hours overlap with US and EU time zones.

Part-Time Senior Vue Engineer

$1,499/ month
80 hours per month

For a focused piece of the product next to your team, such as one feature area, a component library or a refactor.

Full-Time Senior Vue Engineer

$2,499/ month
160 hours per month

One senior engineer builds with you full-time, from the architecture decisions through steady releases.

Dedicated Vue Squad

Several engineers + a lead

Several senior engineers with a lead, for products where a frontend, an admin and an API all move at once.

Short engagement

When we're not the right call

We'd rather tell you now than sell you the wrong engagement.

  • Your main goal is a content site that ranks in search. Server rendering changes the plan, so start with Nuxt development instead.
  • You already have a plan and a team and just need more capacity. Adding one senior engineer to your team fits better than a build engagement.
  • You need a one-off landing page or a small widget. Our monthly plans suit products that keep changing.
  • Your team has settled on React or another framework. Our engineers specialize in Vue and Nuxt, so hire for your own stack.

Questions buyers ask us

How much does it cost to build a Vue.js app with VueSquad?

You pay for senior engineer time, not a fixed project price: $1,499 a month part-time, $2,499 full-time, or a custom price for a squad. The scope sets how many months it takes, and we give you a range after discovery.

Do you work in our repository and tools?

Yes. Our engineers work in your GitHub or GitLab, your Linear or Jira and your Slack. Every change goes through pull requests your team can review.

Can you build the backend too?

Yes, when it helps the product. We build Node.js and NestJS APIs, and several of our case studies include the API behind the Vue app. If you already have a backend team, we work to their API contract instead.

Should we build our product with Vue or Nuxt?

If the app sits behind a login, like a dashboard or an editor, plain Vue with Vite is usually simpler. If pages must rank in search or load fast on a first visit, use Nuxt for server rendering. Many products use both: a Vue app and a Nuxt marketing site.

Can you take over an app another team started?

Yes. We start by reading the code and telling you what we'd keep and what we'd change. If the app mostly needs fixing rather than new features, our maintenance and rescue service is the better fit.

How fast can you start?

In most cases within 48 hours. You meet and approve the engineer before onboarding, and there's no onboarding fee.
